Humanities:
- I am bringing my poetry test home and I got __/19
- Next week in Humanities: we are starting a novel study (Who the [Greek] Gods Out?) as well as the democracy of ancient Athens!
Math:
- We are learning to use our fraction work to understand ratios
- We have focused on Ratios and Fractions this week. A homework review sheet was sent home, and we will review these together on Tuesday.
- Try watching the MathAntics videos to review fractions, decimals and ratios.
Science:
- The Astrodome is coming! All students will get the opportunity to join in a 90 minute presentation next Monday (6-2) and Tuesday (6-1). Thank you to our Parent Council for supporting us financially!
- Students have learned about the size and differences between the solar system, galaxy and universe. Please finish artwork.
- We have started to chart daylight hours in several cities across the globe.
- Students will present their Science Inquiry projects on Thursday and Friday, so practice presenting to family, and be sure you have everything you need. Presentations should take 4-6 minutes and all group members must be involved. Remember the checklist, and let me know if you need help or supplies by Monday at lunch. My room is still open every day after school until 4:10.
